It was an honour to have Maa Shyma Raj as a supervisor during my volunteering. I would also like to thank the staffs at office, children and all others who have made my volunteering ease. I wish all the success to Maitreey Charity India and appeal others to make some difference in society by donating and helping the mankind.
I have been working with maitreey charity from past 2 years and I can tell that Maa Shyma Raj has dedication towards her work and tries to help the society in best possible way. Be it children,or women, Maa Shyma aims to help them in best possible way.
I am associated with Maitreey Mission from last almost 15 yrs. This mission started with very small numbers however with very big dreams of Maa Shyama & Sanjiv Sir.
I am one of the privileged member of the mission who witnessed most of the steps ahead of this mission.
Started with taking care of leprosy patients and their children specially girl child with the objective of bringing these girls out from this stigma and by providing basic amenities to these families of proper medical treatment and a park with swings for children apart from food & clothing.
Then started with Vatsalyam one more project to give good life to girls from destitute families. Provide them with basic things like hygienic place to live, nutritious food to eat and above all education to make them respected citizens.
I am blessed to associate with this mission and learned many things like Gita teachings and how to practise unconditional love, live in gratitude etc. I have seen Maa Shyama living all these qualities which she teaches to all of us.
Now when i have seen the girls of Vatsalyam it seems to be true example of lotus blooming in mud.
Thankyou maitreey mission for bringing such a good change in life of so many. My prayer that this mission may expand and become a huge tree from a small plant.

I am privileged to be a part of Maitreey Mission (with the motto of Charity & Spirituality) from the time of its inception. Admire the way the Mission started the work to uplift the lives of Lepers in the slums of Delhi & with time extended the help to other under privileged families with food , clothing, medicine to their education. Maitreey Mission is definitely a blessing in their life & in my life too. I am proud to be part of it. I am trained to be a spiritual teacher now, conducting regular meditation classes. With time it had grown with many branches and lot more families connected with us. I wish all the success to everyone in this platform.
हम और हमारा मैत्रेय
आध्यात्म और ध्यान की प्यास एक गुरु को ढूँढती है और मुझे माँ श्यामा का आशीर्वाद मिला. शुरू हुई एक ऐसी यात्रा जिसमें अपनी माँ के आंचल में ध्यान शिविर, गीता क्लास आदि में समागम हुआ । मैं भी जाने लगी वहाँ, और धीरे- धीरे संस्था के अन्य कार्यों के बारे में पता चला, परंतु समाज सेवा की ओर बहुत रुझान मेरा कभी भी नहीं था, सो मैने कभी भी बहुत ध्यान इस ओर नहीं दिया|
जब पहली बार वात्सल्यम गई बच्चों का कार्यक्रम देखने तो माँ श्यामा ने कहा की, “ये घर है इन लड़कियों का” तो मैं इस बात से बहुत प्रभावित हुई| आकर्षित लगा बच्चों का रहन सहन, उनकी पढ़ाई के लिए की गई मेहनत, और सर्वोपरि उनका आत्मसम्मान| छोटे बच्चों से लगाव के कारण बच्चों के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम और स्वास्थ्य शिविर से मेरा जुड़ाव हो चला, संस्था का बच्चों के प्रति स्नेह और जिम्मेदारी का जो नजरिया देखा तो मैं अपने आप गहराई से संस्था से जुड़ती चली गई। परंतु असली जुड़ाव मेरा गीता व उपनिषद क्लासेस करने से हुआ जब माँ श्यामा ने इन ग्रंथों को पढ़ना ही नहीं बल्कि इनको जीना भी सिखाया।| हर पढ़ाई के मौखिक, लिखित व प्रायोगिक तरीके होते है तो जब आध्यात्म की प्रायोगिक पढ़ाई की बात समझाई गई कि हर किसी में ईश्वर का वास है, सभी की मदद करना है, और किस तरह गुस्सा, ईर्ष्या घमंड आदि को छोड़कर एक अच्छा सामाजिक इंसान बनना है तो अपने आप ही सेवा रुझान बढ़ गया|
साक्षर और वात्सल्यम दोनों ही प्रोजेक्टस के साथ मेरा जुड़ाव लगभग 15 साल से है। मुझे गर्व है की मैं एक ऐसी संस्था से जुड़ी हूँ जहां न सिर्फ बच्चों की पढ़ाई- लिखाई, स्वास्थ्य, आदि का ध्यान रखा जाता है बल्कि उनको एक अच्छा इंसान भी बनाया जाता है। इसलिए देश-प्रेम, अपनी संस्कृति की समझ और सभी की संस्कृति का आदर इनके मन में है| यहाँ हिन्दी, इंग्लिश और संस्कृत भाषाओं का बराबरी से अध्ययन कराया जाता है, साथ ही कला, खेल व अन्य गतिविधियां, जैसे संगीत, सिलाई, क्राफ्ट आदि की भी बच्चों को पूरी सुविधा है| इसके अतिरिक्त यदि किसी बच्चे को पढ़ाई से संबंधित कोई जरूरत है तो अलग से उसके साथ मेहनत की जाती है| इस संस्था का समर्पण समझने के लिए बस इतना बताना ही काफी है कि बच्चों को दूध की सुविधा पूरी न हो पाने के कारण संस्था ने गाय का पालन शुरू किया जिससे न सिर्फ बच्चों को शुद्ध दूध मिल सके बल्कि जानवरों के प्रति बच्चों की समझ भी विकसित हो सके|मेरे लिये ये एक संस्था नहीं है मेरा एक भरा पूरा परिवार है...जीवन दायनी सरिता है... संगम है ज्ञान, अध्यात्म और सेवा का...जीवे जीवे मैत्रेय
